Aims & scope

Dear colleagues!

The aim of the scientific and technical journal “Speech Technologies” is to keep you informed of events in Russia and abroad in the field of rapidly developing speech technologies.

The history of the industry in our country has more than half a century, but unfortunately we have not had a dedicated journal. Conferences have been held and are being held, from the specialized conference ARAI (Automatic recognition of auditory images) to wide-ranging SPECOMs. The emergence of a specialized Russian journal can be characterized by the saying “It’s better late than never”. Considering the huge scientific potential of Russia, which has not lost its relevance and serious research and developments in the field of speech recognition and synthesis, it is somehow awkward to stay away from the progress in the speech scientific and technological developments made on the global scale. We hope that the journal will be useful to the professional community.

The range of interests of the journal includes speech recognition and synthesis, speech signal coding and decoding, technologies of linguistic and extra-linguistic (semantics and pragmatics) levels, biology and speech biometrics, digital signal processing, noise reduction, speech bases, hardware solutions, voice process learning, and implementation of particular systems and hardware/software packages.

The publication of the journal was made possible by the Publishing House “Narodnoe obrazovanie” (“National Education”), which is a modern “think tank” producing about twenty innovative educational journals. Among the interests of the Publishing House and the R&D Institute of School Technology, which is part of its structure, is the breakthrough strengthening of human-machine interfaces for the purposes of education.

The journal is peer-reviewed. We are looking to cooperate with you, and wish you happiness, health, luck with your endeavors and productive meetings on our pages!
